1. First - export a list of active users, send to HR (Matt Smith) to get a report of who is inactive, then do following steps to batch unenroll them (that are not students)
- use the advanced search and changed the user type to "Advisor," "support network," "Administrator," and so on leaving both students and professors out. I downloaded each list and then combined them and eliminated the duplicates.
2. do a batch unenroll like this:
- check users without CSUIDs in Navigate to make sure they are not active students
- copy column of CSUIDS from Excel
- paste into 'keywords' cell of advanced search
- include enrollment history of recent and future terms (I included SP24, SU24, FA24)
- select "Search" button to find users in Excel file that are active students (student employees)
- go back to Excel file
- label the users with "#NA" in Current Active Staff Member as "Student" and filter them out
- copy/paste final list that excludes active students
- use "Mass Edit of Students" tool in Admin of Navigate
- paste the column of CSUIDs in to the "Enter Keywords" cell
- then set this list of users to be: inactive, deny SSO, and Prevent users from logging in
Do this once/semester.
